12+ Favorite Holiday Traditions from Team Qeepsake

A behind-the-scenes look at the Qeepsake Team’s favorite holiday traditions.
Team Qeepsake

Qeepsake’s vision is to live in a world where every family’s full, authentic journey can be remembered and cherished. We are family-first both in our unwavering commitment to our members as well as in our internal team culture. So, Qeepsake’s Founders have ensured that the Qeepsake Team will also be spending quality time with our families over the holidays.

We will still be here to support you, but through January 3rd, our response times are going to be a little bit slower than you’ve come to expect from us. Other than support response times, nothing will change about Qeepsake’s service. You will receive your question prompts, holiday questions, and recap emails as scheduled!

We truly believe that family is everything. It’s the foundation of our company culture. So, we’re going to give you an up-close and personal look at the different ways the Qeepsake Team will be celebrating the holidays this year. We’ve rounded up the team’s favorite holiday traditions. Feel free to incorporate any of these ideas if you are making new traditions with your family this year.

Here’s What We’ll Be Up To…

  1. Decorating Christmas Cookies

Mom & Engineer Extraordinaire, Sheena and her family are a creative bunch. You’ll find them having a blast in the kitchen decorating Christmas cookies. Santa, Elves, presents, trees, you name it, they’re crafting (and eating) it! Yum.

  1. Home Alone Movie Night

Later in the evening, you’ll find Sheena’s family gathered around the television getting cozy. They’re watching their favorite classic holiday movie, Home Alone. “The first time watching Home Alone with your kid is incredible... We watched it for the first time when my daughter was five and her mind was BLOWN.”

  1. Building Gingerbread Houses

Take a peek into Dad & Engineering Expert, Thomas’s house, and you’ll find him and the kids getting serious about their gingerbread houses.

  1. Die Hard Movie Night

Meanwhile, you’ll find Support Savvy, Freddy and his family watching Die Hard. Don’t even try to argue that Die Hard is not a Christmas movie, it totally is.

  1. Lighting the Candles

Mom & Content Queen, Jen G, loves lighting the candles with her two little girls. Whether it’s the Menorah on Chanukah, or the Shabbas candles, the flickering flames always light up their little eyes.

Wondering what Jen G might be doing on Christmas? The whole fam will be hanging with the lions at the zoo!

  1. Holiday Lights & Decorations Drive

Another one of Jen G’s favorite things to do this time of year, is to stay up late one night and drive around with the whole family looking at all of the beautiful lights and holiday decorations in their neighborhood. They like to make it extra festive and sing along to holiday tunes as they cruise.

  1. Changing the Bedsheets to a Fun Winter Flannel Set

At Incredible UX Designer, Caroline’s house, it’s all about the festive and warm aesthetics. Christmas is her absolute favorite holiday, and one of her favorite traditions is to change the bedsheets to a fun winter flannel set. Wanna know what she’s cozying up in this year? Skiing Dog Flannels.

  1. Baking Homemade Cookies and Bundt Cake

What’s that delicious smell? It’s coming from Support Guru, Gabby’s home. The aroma of her freshly baked homemade cookies and bundt cake fills the house every year. As the designated chef, her brother is making the Christmas meal, and Gabby is laughing as her husband tries to keep up with boxed brownies and store-bought dinner rolls. Hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?

  1. Making Holiday Ornaments with the Family

Mom & Member Happiness Maker, Jami enjoys making holiday ornaments with her son, Nolan. This has been her favorite family tradition since her son Nolan was an infant.

  1. Cooking Brunch on Christmas Day

At Co-Founder & Tech Titan, Duncan’s house on Christmas day, you'll find him cooking brunch with his mom. It has been one of his favorite Christmas morning traditions for years.

Dad (of 6!) & Co-Founder, Jeff’s favorite holiday tradition is sending and receiving printed holiday cards. There’s always tons of exciting things to share when you have a big family, and you should see the fridge at the McNeil’s house!
