  • Open space for movement

Instructions

Click here to learn why physical movement is important for kids.

1. Create a playlist of children's songs or any energetic music that your child enjoys.

2. Play the music and encourage your child to dance and move around like different animals. For example, they can hop like a bunny, slither like a snake, or stomp like an elephant.

3. After a short while, pause the music abruptly and call out the name of an animal. Your child must freeze and hold a pose that represents that animal.

4. Resume the music, and the dancing and movement continue until the next pause.

5. Repeat the process, encouraging your child to explore different animal movements and have fun dancing.

This activity promotes gross motor skills, coordination, and creativity while keeping your little one active and entertained.
