Let's not forget our youngest members experiencing their very first summer!
While your baby might not be ready for water balloons just yet, they can still have some cool-down fun. Always remember to supervise your baby closely during water play. A small amount of shallow water goes a long way!
Sensory Bottles
Fill a clear plastic bottle with water and some glitter or small floating toys. Your baby will love watching the items float around! Secure the lid tightly.
Don't forget to capture their reactions in your daily journaling updates!
Paddling Pool
A shallow paddling pool can be a perfect introduction to water play, and you can add bath toys for extra fun! Unless your baby is sitting up without support, you will need to hold them as they play.
As your little one is playing, notice what words they use to express their reactions. What are their expressions when they feel these different textures? Capture these memories in a photo or a journal entry!
Sprinkler Fun
If you have a sprinkler, let your baby feel the gentle sprinkles of water on their hands and feet.

Your baby's safety always comes first! Ensure all activities and materials do not pose a choking hazard, and are age-appropriate for your little one.
