Homemade Beanies

Materials

  • Cardstock paper
  • White crayon
  • Watercolor paints
  • Pom-poms
  • Glue

Instructions

  1. Draw a winter hat shape on a white piece of cardstock and cut it out. Have your little create fun designs on the hat using a white crayon.
  2. Have kids paint the hats with watercolors. The crayon will reveal the designs once painted over!
  3. Once dry, glue a pom-pom at the top of the hat to complete the look.
  4. Once you’ve made your paper hats, put on real ones and head outside — and snap pics of your kids in their element for your Qeepsake journal!
Shaking Sillies

In the winter months, it can be tough to think of energy-expending activities. Here are a few ideas.

🧣 Bundle up. Unless temps really take a dive, make an effort to get outside for even 10-15 minutes a day.

🤸 Look for indoor playspaces. Spots like these offer your littles the much-needed chance to run around.

🏫 Try some classes. Even if you’ve got a kiddo under one or two, there may be music or gymnastics classes in your area that fit the bill.
