Recipe for 1-2 Year Olds: Alphabet Pasta Soup

Time for a delicious and educational meal - Alphabet Pasta Soup! It's a hearty soup with a fun twist to help your child recognize letters.

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup alphabet pasta
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup diced vegetables (carrots, celery, peas, etc.)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil.
  2. Add the vegetables and let them simmer until tender.
  3. Add the alphabet pasta and cook until tender.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve the soup and let your child identify the letters in their bowl. What letters do they see? Are there any simple words they can spell?

Remember, it's always important to supervise young children while they're eating to prevent choking.

Recipe for 3-4 Year Olds: Storybook Pizza Faces

These Pizza Faces are not only delicious, but also a fun way to engage children in creating their own edible artwork. Enjoy the imaginative process and savor the tasty results together!

Ingredients

  • English muffins or mini pizza crusts
  • Tomato sauce
  • Shredded cheese
  • Assorted toppings to taste (sliced olives, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust packaging.
  2. Place the mini pizza crusts or halved English muffins on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread tomato sauce over each crust or muffin half as the base for the faces.
  4. Let your child create faces using shredded cheese and assorted toppings. Encourage them to get creative and make different expressions!
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake according to the pizza crust package instructions or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving and enjoying!
